IoT project for the Finnish Postal Service: A new parcel locker
In a joint project with other Finnish IT companies, we developed a new parcel locker for the Finnish Postal Service. We were responsible for the design, testing and deployment of the technology solution for the outdoor automation, as well as the integration of the systems. We customized our existing IoT software to create a locker with connected locks.
The result is a new kind of parcel locker that:
- works without an external power supply.
- can be opened with your smartphone.
- is cost-effective to manufacture and maintain.
- works outdoors in Finland’s challenging weather conditions.
- can be integrated with the Finnish Postal Service’s own systems.
